The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Alzheimer's Unit and Program is Specially suited to handle the needs of persons suffering from this debilitating disease and other related dementias. The health, comfort and dignity of all residents are the focus of the interdisciplanary staff on this unit. Day and evening programs conducted by recreation staff. Each resident at The Jewish Home is provided medical services by a primary care physician. A resident may choose to be under the care of a Medical Director of The Jewish Home or another physician of preference. Primary care physician visits are conducted on site. Professional dental and podiatry services are available on site. Diagnostic services conducted on site include: Blood draws for laboratory tests, Accuchecks to monitor blood glucose levels, Portable x-rays and Some IV therapy.
